And Deity-One of Divine Nature was mindful of Rest-Noah and each living one and each of the cattle-livestock that was with him in the chest-coffer and Deity-One of Divine Nature had caused to pass a spirit-a wind over the earth-land and the waters calmed-soothed. 8:1
And the place of fountains of masses of raging waters were dammed up-shut up and crevasses from the direction of the sky are being restrained, the downpour from the skies. 8:2 And the waters had returned again flowing over the land-country, restoring the waters, a slowing from the end of a hundred and fifty days. 8:3 And the chest-coffer rested in the seventh month on the seventeenth day of the month by-against the free-born-mountains-nobles-of Ararat-[Urartu?]. 8:4
And the waters began to diminish-calm until the tenth month-new moon in the tenth on the first of month the heads-leaders of the free-born-mountains-nobles showed themselves. 8:5
And forty days ended and Rest-Noah opened the window-the piercing of the chest-coffer that he made. 8:6And he cast out a raven-crow and it came-went to go-to come to return, evidence to withered up the rivers from-above the country-land. 8:7
And he also cast out a dove-pigeon with him to see if it had been smoothed, the waters upon the surface of the country-fields. 8:8
And it found no place of rest-security for the sole of its feet and it returned to him to the chest-coffer, indeed/certainly waters on the surface of all the land-country, and he put out his hand and took it and brought it to him to the chest-coffer. 8:9 And he delayed yet seven days another in addition to cast out the dove-pigeon from the chest-coffer. 8:10 And it came to him, the dove-pigeon, a time of evening and look! A leaf of an olive newly plucked in its beak and Rest-Noah recognized the waters had been made smooth over the land-country. 8:11 And he waited-hoped for seven days again and sent it out-let loose the dove-pigeon and it did not return to him again. 8:12
And it existed in six hundred and one years, in day one of month one the waters had laid waste upon the land-country and Rest-Noah removed a covering of the chest-coffer and he observed and indeed they were laid waste, the surface of the ground-field. 8:13 And in the second month and twenty seventh day of the month the land-country was gone. 8:14
And he spoke Deity-One of Divine Nature to Rest-Noah saying-commanding. 8:15
"Go forth from the chest-coffer, you and your wife and your sons-peoples and the wives of your sons-peoples with you. 8:16 Each living one that with you from all of flesh-common man, fowls and cattle-livestock and all moving ones that move on the land-country exit, bring forth with you swarming-herding over the land-country and were fruitful and were multiplied upon the land-country. 8:17"
And Rest-Noah exited and his peoples-sons and his wife and the wives of his of his peoples-sons with him. 8:18 Each living one, each moving-herding one, each fowl each moving-herding upon the land-country according to family-clan of them they exited out of the chest-coffer. 8:19
And Rest-Noah built an altar-place of slaughter to Jehovah and he took from all the clean cattle-livestock and from all the clean fowl and he went up a whole burnt sacrifice upon the altar-place of slaughter. 8:20
And Jehovah breathed a breath of the restful and Jehovah said in his heart-understanding:
