A Different Translation of Genesis: Chapter 3

And the Practitioner of Divination acted shamelessly-cunningly-craftily of all living-people of the field, which Jehovah Deity-One Of Divine Nature had fashioned-appointed,

He was speaking to the woman, “Indeed, Deity-One Of Divine Nature was saying, 'You will not eat of all counsels-trees of garden enclosure.'” 3:1

And the woman said to Practitioner of Divination, “Of the fruit of the counsel-tree of the garden enclosure we are eating. 3:2 And of the fruit of the counsel-tree, which in midst of the enclosed garden.”

“He said, Deity-One Of Divine Nature, 'You will not be eating, you will not be touching-reaching out to-plucking off-shake down apart from it-away from it? Beware lest you become worthy of death.'” 3:3

The Practitioner of Divination declared to the woman,

“You are not worthy of death, you will not become worthy of death. 3:4 But Deity-One Of Divine Nature recognizing when in time you eat of it, your eyes they will be opened and you will become as a deity-One Of Divine Nature to discover the propitious and dire.” 3:5

The woman gave attention to this counsel, it was propitious for provision and those necessities it seemed were being required to make adequately prepared, she was taking of the fruit-result and she ate and she gave-taught also to the man with her and he was tasting-consuming. 3:6

Both of them were observing closely. They recognized that unprepared-undignified-acting cunningly they.

They were sewing together fig leaves, they were fashioning for themselves girdles [ephods? an article of divination]. 3:7

And they heard the voice of Jehovah Deity-One of Divine Nature traversing the enclosed garden in the heat of anger, and the man was hiding himself and the woman from the presence of Jehovah Deity-One Of Divine Nature, in the midst of counsel of the enclosed garden. 3:8

And Jehovah Deity-One Of Divine Nature summoned the man.

And he spoke to him, “Where you?” 3:9

And he spoke, “Your voice I heard in enclosed garden, I was reverencing, because unprepared, I withdrew myself.” 3:10

He spoke, “Who informed you given that unprepared? From the counsel which I commanded not to eat, from it you ate of?” 3:11

The man spoke, “The woman which you gave beside me, she gave from the counsel, I was eating.” 3:12

Jehovah Deity-One Of Divine Nature spoke to the woman, “What this you fashioned?” The woman spoke, “The Practitioner of Divination, he caused me to be misled and I was eating.” 3:13

Jehovah Deity-One Of Divine Nature spoke to the Practitioner of Divination, “Because you fashioned this, you to being cursed by all the beasts by all living ones of the land, and on belly you will go about and of multitude you will eat all days of your lives.” 3:14

“And personal hatred I will place between you, and between the woman and between offspring of you and between offspring of her, he will bruise your prince and you will bruise him, end result.” 3:15

Unto the woman he spoke, “'To cause to become progressively greater,' I will make greater your counsels and execution of your plan through labors, you will bring forth your peoples, and of you to a man your longing and he will be like you alongside you.” 3:16

And to the man he spoke, “Because you obeyed the voice of your wife, you ate from the counsel which I commanded you saying, you will not to be eating of it. It was disrespectful of you to have crossed over to the land-earth to be counseled, you will be eating from it all days of your life.” 3:17  And a passing of summer a luxurious growth it will be sprouting for you and you will eat of herbs of the field.” 3:18 In agitation from your sorrow you will be devouring your bread. 'Til your return to the land from which you were taken, that of multitude you, to that multitude you will return.” 3:19

The man proclaimed name of his wife, “Life,” because she became mother figure of each living one. 3:20

Jehovah Deity-One Of Divine Nature fashioned for Adam-one of human nature and for his wife-one of human nature a tunic of awakening-skin and he was causing them to be arrayed. 3:21 Jehovah Deity-One Of Divine Nature spoke, “Behold the man-one of human nature, he existed as one of-from us to discover propitious and dire, and now perhaps he will stretch out his hand and he will take even from counsel of the Living One, that he might eat and he might live for-everlasting.” 3:22

Jehovah Deity-One Of Divine Nature sent him forth from the enclosed garden of Pleasure-Eden to serve the country from which he was taken, from there. 3:23
He first-fruit of garden, the Adam-one of human nature, he caused himself to dwell in front of the enclosed garden in Pleasure-Eden , together with the minsters-cherubim, and with a flame of the sword, to convert, to obey the way of living of the counsel of the Living One. 3:24

Commentary

A key point is verse 3--You will not be taking fruit apart from the one in the center of the garden.  See also 2:9 where Jehovah restricts the eating of any counsel that sprouted up apart from the one which he planted.

The whole point of chapters 2 and 3 is that Jehovah separates Adam and Eve from the teaching of divination that is in the land.  And they are not to eat of any counsel outside of the enclosed garden of Pleasure.
