A Different Translation of Genesis: Chapter 5

[In Genesis 4:17 the statement "he built a city and he named a name of the city as name of his son, Dedicated-Enoch" gives the outline of (1) having a son, (2) then building a city and giving it the name of the son.  The conclusion is that the city with the name of the son could outlive the son by hundreds of years.  And, therefore the extreme longevity of the "name" is understood as that of the city not the person.]

This writing of a chronicle of Adam-Humanity a time-day regarding a creating-fashioning-choosing by Deity-One Of Divine Nature of Adam-Humanity, in likeness of Deity-One Of Divine Nature he prepared-fashioned him. 5:1

Male and female he created-fashioned them and he blessed them and he called them^{[the family]}“Adam-mankind” in time-day they were created-fashioned-chosen. 5:2

And city-family ^{[see 4:17]}Adam-Mankind was living prosperously a hundred and thirty years, and it caused to bring forth in likeness, in image of him, it was calling name of him Compensation-Seth. 5:3 And days of city Adam-Mankind after causing to arise city and son Compensation-Seth became eight hundreds years and it is generating peoples and daughter villages. 5:4 All of days of city Adam-Mankind existed in which it flourished nine hundred and thirty years and it perished. 5:5

City Compensation-Seth flourished a hundred and five years and it generated city and son Mankind-Enos. 5:6 City Compensation-Seth flourished after having caused to be generated Mankind-Enos eight hundreds and seven years and it was causing to be generated peoples and daughter villages. 5:7 City Compensation-Seth flourished all time-days nine hundred and twelve years and it perished. 5:8

City Mankind-Enos flourished ninety years and it caused to be generated city and son Possession-Kenan. 5:9 City Mankind-Enos flourished after having caused to be generated city and son Possession-Kenan eight hundred and eighteen years and it caused to be generated peoples and daughter villages. 5:10 And all time-days of city Mankind-Enos nine hundreds and five years and it perished. 5:11

And city Possession-Kenan flourished seventy years and it caused to be generated city and son Praise of El-Mahalaleel.5:12And city Possession-Kenan flourished after having caused to be generated city and son Praise of El-Mahalaleel eight hundred forty years and it caused to be generated peoples and daughter villages. 5:13 All the days-time of city Possession-Kenan came about nine hundreds ten years and it perished. 5:14.

For sixty five years city Praise of El-Mahalaleel flourished and it caused to be generated city and son Descent-Jared. 5:15 For eight hundred thirty years city Praise of El-Mahalaleel flourished and generated-created city and son Descent-Jared and brought forth peoples and daughter villages. 5:16 It came to pass all years of city Praise of El-Mahalaleel eight hundred and ninety five years and it perished. 5:17 

And flourished city Descent-Jared a hundred and sixty two years and it caused to be generated city and son Dedicated-Enoch. 5:18 And city Descent-Jared flourished after having caused to be generated city and son Dedicated-Enoch eight hundred years and brought forth peoples and daughter villages. 5:19 It came to pass all years of city Descent-Jared nine hundred and sixty two years and it perished. 5:20

And city and son Dedicated-Enoch flourished sixty-five years he caused to be generated city and son Man of the Dart-Methuselah. 5:21 City and son Dedicated-Enoch lived a life before-with Deity after having caused to be generated city and son Man of the Dart-Methuselah three hundred years and brought forth peoples and daughter villages. 5:22 It came to pass all years of city Dedicated-Enoch three hundred and sixty-five years. 5:23 And city Dedicated-Enoch lived a life before-with Deity then it was not when-because Deity led-took it away. 5:24 

And city Man of the Dart-Methuselah flourished one hundred and eighty seven years and caused to be generated city and son Powerful-Lemech 5:25 And city Man of the Dart-Methuselah flourished after he caused to be generated-created city and son Powerful-Lemech seven hundred and eighty two years and brought forth peoples and daughter villages. 5:26 It came to pass all the years of city Man of the Dart-Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty nine years and it perished. 5:27

And city Powerful-Lemech flourished a hundred and eighty two years and bought forth a son-people. 5:28 And he proclaimed his name Rest-Noah, this to say he will have compassion on us because of our deeds by reason of our counsel-advice because of our pledge because of the land-country which Jehovah had cursed-disrespected. 5:29 And cityPowerful-Lemech flourished after he caused to be generated-created Rest-Noah for five hundred and ninety five years and caused to be generated-created peoples-sons and daughter villages. 5:30 It came to pass all the years of city Powerful-Lemech were seven hundred and seventy seven years and it perished. 5:31

It came to pass city Rest-Noah a people-son of five hundred years and city Rest-Noah caused to be generated-created Name-Shem, Hot-Ham and Widely extending-Japheth. 5:32

Those in the lineage of Adam began to spread out over the land.  Example of possible movement towards the Black Sea in the region of Mount Ararat.
